I have had the Michael Brody Stage Hypnotism show at my own parties, several times. The first time was at a 4th of July party, nearly 20 years ago, and to this day, when I run into people who were there, they still talk about his show.

SWARTZ CREEK – Hypnotist Michael Brody will entertain audiences at the Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
Brody will enlist the help of audience volunteers to undergo hypnosis, then give them post-hypnotic suggestions.
“He will have people convinced they are meeting their favorite movie stars, they have lost their belly buttons (or) they are beauty queens,” said Craig Martin, PAC executive director.
“Whatever he comes up with is sure to entertain. (But) don’t worry. Contrary to popular belief, you will not do anything under hypnosis that you normally wouldn’t do. Hypnosis just lowers your inhibitions a bit. It doesn’t hurt, and everyone says it is very relaxing.”
Brody has performed throughout the state. “(He) is very funny all on his own,” said Martin, “but when you get 16 hypnotized people on stage, the fun is only beginning.”
The show lasts about 90 minutes.
Touring since the early 1990s, Michael Brody has been performing his standup comedy with hypnosis to high school students all across the Midwest.
Last Wednesday, Brody brought his show back to Oxford High School and made several students believe they won $180 million and were meeting their favorite celebrity.
Brody used a susceptibility test to pick his participants, looking for people who could be placed into a certain stage of hypnosis.
“It honestly made me laugh, and I couldn't believe some of the stuff the hypnotist was able to do,” said OHS senior Jessie Fallis.
One of the most entertaining moments came when volunteers were submerged in such a deep hypnosis that Brody made them believe he was Channing Tatum, Matthew Stafford, and even Eminem.
I have worked with Mike Brody two specific times to coordinate his services for After Prom at our local school. Every time I reached out, he followed up within 30 minutes and provided all needed info.
We hired Mike twice; other parents tried cheaper hypnotists and were disappointed — no one is as good as Mike!
Mike is professional, answers questions, explains everything to students, and makes sure everyone is safe and having fun. Highly recommended!

Students described the show as “amazing,” “hilarious,” and “one of the weirdest things I’ve seen.”
Quotes included: “It was the highlight of my week,” “Best show this year,” and “So much fun!”
After exercises, Brody selected the most relaxed volunteers. Students reported losing parts of memory but gaining a hilarious experience for the audience.
Memorable moments included thinking Brody was Taylor Lautner and reacting accordingly.
Certified hypnotist Michael Brody introduced hypnosis to psychology students, explaining states of consciousness, relaxation, and imagination.
Participation was voluntary and safe. Students shared positive feedback on the experience.
